Luisa arrived on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2003 at 5:30pm in Charlotte, NC. It was a long day as she got up at 3am to start her journey. Everything went well through immigration and customs and even her baggage arrived with her!
It has been a busy week as we have been running around getting things situated and visiting family and friends. Over the weekend we went to Mt. Airy to visit my parents, who had invited some family friends to come and meet Luisa. This is a photo with Oscar and Winnie Merritt, longtime family friends.
Sorry for the blink photo, Winnie, but photos were slim pickings.
Yesterday, Tuesday, we went to Charlotte at the invitation of my uncle, David Bradley, to view the work of Jon Kuhn, a glass artist from here in Winston-Salem who is having an exhibition at the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. Beautiful work. We look forward to visiting his studio in the near future.
This Sunday, Feb. 29, 2003, we will have the Baha'i marriage ceremony at the Baha'i Center here in Winston-Salem. We look forward to having friends and family join us as we close the marriage process that began over two months ago! It has been worth every second.
Look for a post soon with more details for the summer celebration in June.

Hi ya'll, Hefty congratulations and a million thanx for the wedding photos which made me feel like a quasi participant half way around the world here in China! It was great to see you all in the W-S Baha'i Center. Thanx also (speaking for Giuseppe) for the Vesuvio Coffee ad Badi. Word of mouth (or blog?) seems to be the way to go for veritable advertising.
