Two more photos from Razi and Lauren in Vermont. These were taken last fall on a hike on the Long Trail. One photo is from the Journey's End, the last leg of the Long Trail. The other is a marker for the Canadian border.
This photo has significance this week as the government announced that by 2008, Canadians and Mexicans, as well as Americans who travel to those countries and through those borders will be required to present a passport. Theoretically, I am not opposed to providing the documentation to enter or exit a country, but practically, this photo shows how vast the two frontiers actually are and putting up a fence or a human fence like the minuteman project is isolationist and counterproductive. Enjoy the photos of scenic Vermont.
